Physicians Formula Organic Wear Tinted Moisturizer Review

Photo 2014-05-12, 11 32 50 PM

Hi guys,

I hope that you all are having an amazing week and enjoying the hot weather (YAY!). I have recently picked up this organic tinted moisturizer from Physicians Formula and have been using it for a couple of weeks now; and thought I would share my complete honest opinion with you.

  • About the Product

It claims to be 100% organic and free of harsh chemicals, Parabens and synthetic preservatives.

  • Price

Original price was $16. It was on sale for $10

  • Coverage

Lightweight with sheer coverage

  • Formula

Very oily and watery

  • Packaging

It comes in a tube which makes it easier to squeeze the product out.

  • Where to buy

I got mine at Walmart but you can definitely find it at any drug store that carries Physician Formula Products

  • Final Thoughts

I feel that this product is good for those with dry skin since it is very oily. As for the coverage, there is little to no coverage and I understand since it is a tinted moisturizer. It can be used as a base before foundation application but considering the price it is not worth your money. I feel that you can get a much better tinted moisturizer for the same price point or even lower. However, the good side is that you know for sure you are not harming your skin by using this moisturizer. It is an organic product and claims to be free of harsh chemicals. The question now: would I buy it again? I don’t think so. This product did not stand out for me and is definitely not worth the price. I have nothing against Physicians Formula products; they actually carry amazing products but this is where they do not do their best. This is only my honest opinion and everyone is different. Hope you like this mini review and if you would like me to do more of those mini reviews, then like and comment to let me know. Enjoy:)

Much love,

My Top Five Favorite Blushes

Hi Makeup Lovers!

Happy May for y’all. Wish that this month brings you the best of health and happiness and no more snow your way. I apologize for not updating my blog in such a long time. I have been extremely busy juggling life and I appreciate your patience. I have decided to compile my top five favorite blushes ranging from drugstore to high end makeup products. I have tested and worn these blushes regularly and found that I gravitate to them the most out of all my blushes collection. Enough talking and on to my “Top Five Favorite Blushes”… Starting with:

  1. NARS Blush/Bronzer Duo

IMG_4490 IMG_4491

I just love NARS blushes. They are my favorite of all time even though they can pretty price. This blush/ brozer duo features Orgasm blush which is the perfect pink colour with a hint of gold as well as Laguna bronzer. I wear the blush almost every day as it can go well with any makeup look. However, I don’t like the brozer. The texture is amazing but it is very light for my skin tone. I prefer darker brozer to do countering with.

Where to buy: Sephora

  1. Benefits Coralista

Benefit Cosmetics also carry an amazing line of blushes and bronzers. The texture and colour payoff is very good considering the price. This blush complements all skin types as it is a very faint peachy colour that is perfect for all seasons but most specifically spring and summer. Plus all Benefit blushes smell amazing 😉

Where to buy: Sephora, Shoppers Drug Mart

  1. Pixi Bronze Bloom Trio

IMG_4484 IMG_4485

I have come across this blush trio through one of my all-time favorite YouTube beauty guru best known as babylailalove. She recommended it in one of her videos and I gave it a shot. This trio is beyond words, the colours are very pigmented and the price is very affordable. It comes with a very large mirror which is definitely a plus. The palette includes two blushes and a bronzer. The blush colors are perfect for all skin types and they go on very smoothly and stay on for a long time. if you are looking for a value palette that has it all, then I would definitely recommend you go and get this one.

Where to buy: Target

  1. NARS Powder Blush in Luster

IMG_4488 IMG_4489

Again I can’t describe how much I love NARS blushes especially this one. It is the perfect shade as it is a blend of medium brown with a hint of orange and peach gold shimmer. It applies very smoothly and wears beautifully especially with a bold lip color. It works very well as a natural blusher.

Where to buy: Sephora

  1. NYX Powder Blush in Desert Rose

IMG_4492 IMG_4493

This blush is soft, long lasting and very pigmented. It is the perfect pinkish/reddish blush color that is suitable for all skin types. A little can go a long way and it applies evenly on the skin. Just be careful when applying it as it is very pigmented. The only downside to this blush is that it does not come with a mirror.

Where to buy: Rexall Pharmacy, Target

Note: you can buy any of these blushes online through Amazon or E-bay. I only Listed the places you can buy these blushes from if you live in Canada

MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo…

So I have recently picked up Ruby Woo and I wanted to share my thoughts on it.

  • MAC’s standard packaging

  • Bright red with a cool undertone.

  • Retro Matte Finish.

Even though I very much enjoyed this lipstick and felt that it is the perfect red shade to have in every girl’s makeup collection. The only downfall would be its drying matte finish. I would suggest that you moisturize your lips very well before applying this lipstick. Another way would be using a lip brush to apply the colour to ensure even distribution and using a concealer to clean out the edges. All in all, I would highly recommend this lipstick. If you enjoyed this review, leave me a comment to let me know 🙂

New Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette

I have recently treated myself for a new palette and I am loving it so far. The colours are so pigmented and they last on for hours. There are also a variety of colours to choose from which is always a plus:) Also, the packaging is quite sturdy and the palette comes with a large mirror and a double sided brush. The price is also good considering that each colour on its own costs around $20. If any of you are thinking about getting this palette, I would highly recommend it. Just my thoughts on it.
